The creation of StoryBook Play: Kelly has an extensive background working with children with developmental delays. Through her experiences teaching play skills to young children she became frustrated at the lack of easy-to-play narratives in children's books. She began to photograph toys and create storybooks to help children understand and develop meaningful figure play skills. Kelly now uses her experiences to train professionals and parents to use these books in their own classrooms and homes in hopes of helping children and families access the profound benefits of play.
